About us, News & FAQ
Latest news:
The signature generator now caches Twitter status requests. This allows us to play nice with Twitter's API and avoid being rate limited. We're working on switching to authenticated (OAuth) use of Twitter from our current unauthenticated use, which will allow us to scale to a much larger base of users.
Signatures now correctly display (most?) languages that use alphabets other than the English (Latin) alphabet. The font used (Arial) has swelled from 359KB to 22.2MB.
FAQ
Why doesn't my status update right away?
Twitter allows us a limited number of calls to their service each hour. To work within this limit and serve all of our users, we cache your status for a minimum of one hour. The actual cache period is different for each user; if you post infrequently, we update your status infrequently.
